Terms & Conditions

  1. The operator of the website czechmatelanguages.com is the following sole proprietor:
    Daniela Veselá, Company ID: xxxx, registered at the Municipal Court in Prague. Hereinafter referred to as the "Operator."

  2. The Operator offers online language lessons via video conferencing platforms such as Skype, Google Classroom, or Zoom. Hereinafter referred to as the "Service" or "Lesson."

  3. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. In the event of any disputes, the relevant court in the Czech Republic will have jurisdiction. Any clause of these Terms that is invalid under Czech law does not invalidate the remaining clauses.

  4. The Operator reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon their publication on the website, and continued use of the website following any changes implies acceptance of those changes.

  5. The Operator offers lessons of all levels in group, individual, and corporate courses. Lessons take place online. Students can book their place in lessons online via the website or through email, phone, Instagram, or in person.

  6. A lesson is considered booked only after the reserved time is confirmed by the instructor.

  7. The instructor reserves the right to decline any booking request at their discretion.

  8. If the instructor needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, the student will be notified as soon as possible, and the lesson will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time.

    • If rescheduling is not possible, the student will receive a full refund (for prepaid lessons, a refund amount proportional to the number of untaught lessons relative to the total number of lessons).

  9. The course fee must be paid in full before the start of the lesson, either in cash or by bank transfer. The lesson must be paid in full within 3 business days of booking and no later than the day the lesson begins.

  10. If payment for the reserved spot is not made within 3 business days of booking or before the start of the lesson, the time slot may be offered to another student. The Operator is not obliged to notify the student of the cancellation of the booking.

  11. You may cancel your registration at any time before the lesson begins. The following cancellation fees apply:

    • More than 36 hours before the start of the lesson: 0% of the lesson price

    • Less than 36 hours (inclusive) before the start of the lesson: 100% of the lesson price

    • If the student decides to leave the lesson after it has started, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fee.

  1. A student may cancel or reschedule a lesson to another mutually convenient time no later than 36 hours before the lesson begins at no additional cost.

  2. Lessons canceled with less than 36 hours’ written notice cannot be rescheduled and are considered completed.

  3. Individual students have a period of 2 months to use their package of 5 lessons and a period of 4 months for packages of 10 lessons. After this period passes, remaining unused lessons are considered completed.

  4. All prices are listed in euros or Czech crowns and are final.

  5. The Operator is not a VAT payer according to the Czech Trade Licensing Act.

  6. The instructor reserves the right to change prices periodically. However, any price changes will not affect confirmed bookings.

  7. The instructor is not responsible for technical problems caused by the student's equipment or internet connection. If a lesson is interrupted due to the student’s technical issues, the lesson will not be rescheduled or refunded.

  8. If a lesson is interrupted due to technical issues on the part of the instructor, the lesson will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

  9. The Operator adheres to a zero-tolerance policy towards any aggressive or violent behavior. Aggressive physical, verbal, or written behavior towards the school’s employees and/or students based on age, gender, sexual orientation, social status, origin, etc., will result in the immediate termination of the student’s participation in the course without entitlement for a refund.

Privacy Policy

  1. The Operator is committed to protecting students’ privacy. Personal data collected from students will be used solely for the purposes of providing services and managing bookings.

  2. The student's personal data will be stored in accordance with Czech data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  3. For the provision of our services, we may collect and process the following personal data:

    • Identification data: First and last name.

    • Contact details: Email address, phone number.

    • Payment data: Bank information or payment details (in case of payment via PayPal or bank transfer).

    • Additional data: Any information you provide as part of communication (e.g., via email or contact form).

  4. By initiating communication with the Operator via email, contact form, phone, or otherwise, you consent to the processing of data under the following provisions.

  5. We process your personal data only for lawful purposes and based on your consent and legal basis according to GDPR. The purposes of processing include:

    • Providing services: We collect personal data for the purpose of providing online language lessons, managing bookings, and communicating with you.

    • Fulfilling contracts: Data processing is necessary to fulfill the contract between us and you.

    • Billing and payments: We process your payment data to handle payments for the services provided.

    • Communication and support: We use your contact details to respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.

    • Legal requirements: We may process your personal data to fulfill our legal obligations (e.g., keeping accounting records).

  6. Unless stated otherwise, we retain your personal data for the duration of our contractual relationship and thereafter for the period necessary to meet our legal obligations (e.g., retaining invoices for 10 years for tax purposes).

  7. We share your personal data with third parties only in the following cases:

    • With banking or payment service providers for processing payments.

    • If required by law, we may disclose your personal data to public authorities or other entities in accordance with legal requirements.

  • Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
